How to make fried Ice Cream
You can make balls from your favorite ice cream using an ice cream scooper. Place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
To help them firm up, place the ice cream balls in the freezer at least for 15 minutes
While the ice cream balls chill in the freezer, place the Danish Creamery butter in an oven-proof skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
In a large saucepan, combine crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, sugar, salt, and sugar. Stirring constantly, cook the mixture for approximately 3-5 minutes. It should be slightly toasted and then turn golden brown.
Important: Stir the mixture continuously to ensure it doesn’t stick in the pan or burn.
Take the pan off the heat. Pour the cornflake mixture into a bowl. Allow this to cool.
After the ice cream balls have cooled and the cornflakes have cooled, you can make your fried cream! To coat the ice cream balls, roll them in the cornflake mixture.

Can you freeze fried ice cream or make it ahead of time?
We don’t recommend freezing fried ice cream or making it ahead of time due to the nature and complexity of this recipe. The shape of the ice cream balls makes them more vulnerable to freezing burns. Also, fried cornflakes will become soft and brittle if they are exposed to cold temperatures.
We have a tip to help you make fried ice cream for your next party or gathering. Make ice cream balls by scooping them out and placing them in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. Set aside the cornflake mixture. You will be able to make fried ice cream later in the day quickly.
This method is best when they are prepared on the same day. However, it can be done 24 hours ahead. You run the risk that it will freeze if you prepare it later.
